How to Speed Up A Very Slow PC

by Jason Peters

The evolution and its growing popularity of computers and PCs are so fast, it seems it is quite impossible not to live without them. These are very useful in our daily lives; without them, we could not do efficiently our everyday duties. Being able to fulfill all of these tasks also brings us instant satisfaction.

Most of us live our lives on the fast lane. We like getting our things done quickly that when we are not able to accomplish them, we easily get bothered and frustrated. One thing that gets humans really distressed is a very slow running computer. The computer plays a very big role in our lives–we use this for work, school, to communicate with our family and friends–so when it doesn’t work very well, we get quickly annoyed.

However, there are a number of easy ways that can help get your computer back up to full speed, allowing you to accomplish your work without any frustrating slow-downs. In this article, we discuss three well-known methods to increase the speed of your computer.

1. Upgrading Your RAM (Random Accessed Memory)

If you had your computer for a long time, and you estimate that it is not up to date, you can have a real problem in running the latest software. Since you do not have the optimal conditions to run the new software, your computer will start to operate very slow. If this is indeed the case, you really need to consider to obtain more RAM for your computer. The RAM, which represents the random consulted memory, can really amplify the speed of your PC by a good amount if you decide to get more of it.

2. Clean The Registry Of Your Computer

The computer registry is not a very commonly known area in the computer but it plays a very important role in their speed. The registry has a number of different files (AKA registry keys) that tells the computer how and what to operate. If the computer has been used for years already, then it is likely that some of the files in the registry have been corrupted already, which causes the pc to slow down. To solve this problem, you need a registry cleaner software to clean it out and fix any problems in the registry.

3. Shut down unnecessary programs

Since our lives are very fast-paced, we tend to multitask in order to get things done efficiently and effectively. However, our computer slows down by doing this. Each computer has its own limits as to how many programs it can manage at the same time, so if we abuse it, then this causes the machine to reduce its speed. So you must make sure that you are not running multiple programs at the same time if you want your computer to operate faster.
